WHO WE ARE

We’re all about bringing folks together—linking up, building real community, and experiencing hope that hits different because it’s rooted in the gospel.

We’re here to bring Jesus right into the energy of ATL—building bridges across generations and helping our people grow, thrive, and flourish in real life. We believe life changes when we move as one. Let’s grow, heal, and serve together.

OUR KINDRED STORY

OUR KINDRED STORY

THE STORY OF KINDRED HOPE

Kindred Hope was born out of a real call—to build a church that actually looks like the ‘A.’ Bright. Diverse. Full of culture, heart, and life.

Pastor Howard and Kellie Brown teamed up with Perimeter Church to create a space where people could pull up and feel seen… A place for faith that’s real, healing that’s deep, and community that feels like family.

Kindred Hope is here to bring Jesus right into that energy—building bridges across generations, and helping our people grow, thrive, and flourish

in real life, spiritually and socially.

This is Kindred Hope. A home for the city. A family on a mission. Pull up. Grow with us. Let’s build.

WHY ATLANTA

Atlanta is where faith, culture, and the fight for justice all meet on the same block—and that’s exactly where the church needs to be.

The ‘A’ is a powerhouse of creativity, influence, and leaders making moves. From the studio to the boardroom, from the streets to the Capitol—ATL sets the pace.

ATL isn’t just our location—it’s in our DNA. The sound, the soul, the grind, the movement—this city shapes how we love, how we serve, and how we share the good news of Jesus.

This is our city. This is our moment. ATL, we’re with you.

Lead Pastor

Howard is a seasoned pastor, church planter, and kingdom visionary who lives for building and strengthening gospel-centered communities. Charleston-born and bred, he met Jesus in the AME Church and was shaped deeply through Reformed University Fellowship campus ministry at Clemson University. After finishing his M.Div. at Covenant Seminary, he served at Redemption Fellowship in Atlanta, pastored Forest Park Presbyterian in Baltimore—once the Presbyterian Church in America’s oldest historically Black congregation—and then launched Christ Central Church in Charlotte, sparking a movement that changed the game for multiethnic ministry in the region. Today, Howard is Lead Pastor of Kindred Hope, staying faithful to his lifelong mission: building bridges, raising leaders, and seeing God’s people flourish together in unity and power. Howard and his wife, Kellie, are the proud parents of two grown kids. When he’s off the grind, you’ll catch him on the water with a fishing rod, hyped for Clemson football, swinging a golf club, posted up with a cigar, fixing up the house, watching movies, or discovering new food spots with Kellie.

Ministry Associate

Kellie is a powerhouse creative leader, church planter, and coach who lives to pour into ministry leaders and help them thrive. Straight out of St. Louis, she heard God’s call while at Valdosta State University and never looked back. She has led with heart and excellence as Worship & Arts Director at Christ Central Church, as an assessor and coach for Mission to North America, and as Operations Director for African American Ministries. Now she’s running strong as Program Lead for Serge’s Kinship Initiative—refreshing and equipping Black leaders—and she serves as a Ministry Associate at Kindred Hope, where her voice, creativity, and vision help shape the movement. Kellie and her husband, Howard, are the proud parents of two grown kids. Off the clock, she’s likely vibing to music, trying out new recipes, growing plants (or trying not to kill them!), watching movies, or singing and dancing like nobody’s watching.
